The Broward AWARE! Protecting Our Children Campaign
Broward AWARE! is a multi-agency campaign led by the Children’s Services Council of Broward County, dedicated to child abuse prevention through education, community engagement, and resource access. Running from January to April, the campaign addresses key issues each month:

January: Human Trafficking Awareness – Educating the community on recognizing signs and prevention strategies.

February: Dating & Domestic Violence Prevention – Promoting healthy relationships and safety resources.

March: Family Supports – Providing tools to strengthen families and prevent neglect.

April: Child Abuse Prevention – Culminating with awareness events, including the Family Fun Resource Fair.
One of the key components of the Broward AWARE! campaign is the coordination of activities and events that emphasize resources aimed at preventing child abuse and neglect. This includes a “Pinwheel for Prevention” themed activity, which is part of the Child Abuse Prevention Month observed in April.
In addition to these activities, the campaign is known for its annual Family Fun and Resource Fair. This event, held in partnership with a multitude of community organizations, offers a platform for families to engage in fun activities while accessing valuable resources related to child safety and abuse prevention. The fair is part of the broader efforts to recognize and support Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Through events, workshops, and outreach, Broward AWARE! empowers the community to protect children and support families across Broward County.
