FY 2024/25:

Healing and Empowering All Living with Trauma

Healing and Empowering All Living with Trauma (HEAL Trauma): programming that serves youth and families who live in designated racially segregated and high poverty communities that have been impacted by trauma. Addresses the negative impacts of trauma and provide resources to allow those impacted to increase protective factors and build resiliency.

Legal Supports

Legal Supports: programming that provides legal advocacy services to low-income youth, up to age 18, who are dually involved in the dependency and delinquency systems and/or youth in either the dependency or delinquency system at risk of dual involvement.

FY 2025/26:

Maximizing Out-of-School Time (MOST)

Includes:

  • MOST: year-round and summer programming that provides a safe, positive environment for elementary school children from economically-disadvantaged areas in Broward County and for children and youth ages 3-22 with behavioral health and other special needs.
  • Inclusion Supports: programming to increase the capacity of CSC-funded MOST programs to create positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate programming that welcomes all children.
  • Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH): programming to increase the capacity of CSC-funded MOST programs to create an active, healthy, and fun environment for all children in their program.

New Diversion Alternatives for Youth

New Diversion Alternatives for Youth (New DAY): programming that incorporates family support services, counseling, youth development activities, community service, and restitution to divert low-risk juvenile offenders from the delinquency system and reduce recidivism.

Respite

Respite: programming for families with children ages 5-13 years old who exhibit intensive behavioral health needs that focus on reducing family stress and strengthening family functioning by meeting the child’s care needs.  Children in the program are offered opportunities for growth and development, which enhances the quality of their lives and their families.

FY 2026/27:

Family Supports

Includes:

  • Family Strengthening: programming that reaches families at risk for child abuse and neglect, families at risk for out of home placement, and families in crisis.
  • Mothers Overcoming Maternal Stress (MOMS): programming to address the risks associated with maternal emotional distress (depression and/or anxiety).
  • Kinship: programming providing support services to maintain a stable home for children being raised by relative or non-relative caregivers when the biological parent(s) are unable to do so.
  • Kinship Legal: programming for legal advocacy to families providing kinship care for children and youth.
  • Supervised Visitation: programming to ensure the safety and welfare of child(ren) and adults and foster an ongoing relationship between the non-custodial parent and child(ren) in a safe, structured environment.

FY 2027/28:

Positive Youth Development

Includes:

  • Youth FORCE (Friends, Opportunities, Resources, Counseling & Education): programming that provides middle school students with year-round out-of-school-time youth development services.
  • LEAP (Literacy, Enrichment & Academic Pursuits) High: programming that provides high school students with year-round out-of-school-time youth development services.
  • Supported Training & Employment Program (STEP): programming that offers comprehensive employability skills training to help prepare youth with disabilities, ages 16-21, for future success in post-secondary education and the workplace.
  • Inclusion Supports: programming to increase the capacity of CSC-funded PYD programs to create positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate programming that welcomes all children.

Healthy Youth Transitions

Healthy Youth Transitions (HYT): programming that provides holistic life coaching and counseling services, using the Transition to Independence Process, to promote the development of life skills and academic and employability skills to help youth transition successfully into healthy, young adults.
