Specialized, in-home parent education provided at least bimonthly by Certified Behavioral Analysts, Bachelor’s and paraprofessional staff using the “Parents As Teachers” curriculum, modified to support parents of children with special needs.

Weekly, in-home parenting using the NPP Special Needs Curriculum. Services are provided by Bachelor’s level staff. Model serves families with chronic or life-threatening medical challenges, developmental delays, visual or auditory disabilities, and/or behavior disorders.

In-home therapy and case management services provided 1-2 times per week by Master’s level therapists with specific ability to work with families with youth having behavioral problems. Program uses the Alternatives for Families-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT) approach .

Intensive, in-home interventions provided for an average of 10 face-to-face hours per week using the best practice model HOMEBUILDERS® Program. The families referred to this program must be referred by BSO CPIS and must be families at high risk of having their children removed from their home. Prior to making the referral, the BSO CPIS Supervisor and Service Provider Specialist must be consulted. Referrals cannot be faxed.

As a part of the Juvenile Assessment Center (JAC) Collaborative Project, the Broward Sheriff’s Office provides coordination, oversight and direct services to allow the JAC to operate 24/7 as a multi-agency, collaborative central point of entry to the juvenile justice system. Youth referred for law violations in Broward County are delivered to the JAC by law enforcement are provided coordinated, centralized processing and timely comprehensive individual assessment.

In-home program provided weekly to serve families at risk of abuse and neglect. Program comprised of three components: 1) Case Management, 2) Supportive Counseling and 3) Parent Education using the Strengthening Families curriculum.
